Well, I can hardly believe that I am typing this---but, today was your last Friday of 7th grade! WOW! I don't know about you, but this year seems to have FLOWN by! There is no homework over the weekend, but you do need to remember to bring your Language Arts Literature books to class on Monday. If you do not have your assigned book, or if it is damaged, you will be given a bill for the book--and it is a VERY expensive book!

As you learned in class today, there are THREE different types of irony. They are:
Verbal Irony: Duh! This is sarcasm--it's when you say something and you actually mean the opposite! "Oh my goodness, I just LOVE extra homework!" Situational Irony: This is when something happens that is the opposite of what you expect to happen--like movies with surprise endings or a fire station burning to the ground. You don't expect it! Dramatic Irony: This is when you (the reader, the watcher, the audience) knows something that the characters don't--like the movie Titanic--you know the ship is going to sink, but the characters don't! All Periods: Make sure you know the three types of irony for your quiz tomorrow. There is no reading log due this week and May Bingo is due on Friday! Extra Credit Reading Logs are due Friday (5/22/15).
