Thanks for all your work on the farmhouse poetry! Today, we read a poem that explored the idea of being American and what that truly means. Here is your homework:

All Periods: Finish all questions and the drawing in your Farmhouse Poetry Packet. Please be sure to work on October Bingo tonight--it's due in TWO days! Yikes! Oh, and here is the creepy video for the poem! ENJOY! Today, we finished our class presentations of our Advertising Projects! It was neat to see the creativity that you all put into these projects! After the presentations were finished, we started our Poetry Analysis Unit--beginning with "Abandoned Farmhouse." It's definitely a poem with a very somber tone! Here is your homework:

There were quite a few of you that did not submit a Reading Snapshot for a Book Talk. There were also some of you that did not bring your book to class for the talk--despite multiple reminders.
