All Periods: Write one paragraph comparing "The Third Wish" to "The Twisted Claw" (click to watch) and one paragraph contrasting them. Remember, comparing means showing how they are alike and contrasting means showing how they are different. Each of your paragraphs must be at least 4-5 sentences long! You can use the Venn diagram and the notes we completed in class as a reference! If you were absent on Monday, 9/15/14, we watched this video: "The Twisted Claw" On Tuesday, we will be comparing and contrasting this story to "The Third Wish" from your textbook. All Periods: In your Literature textbook, please complete questions 3-5 on page 77 in complete sentences. 3/4 and 8/9 only: In your Vocabulary Workshop workbook, on page 31, finish the remaining items in the "Completing the Sentence" section (numbers 1-2, 4, 6, 9-11, 15, 17, 20). Also, Scholastic orders are due Friday. You can click below to order and have your items shipped to the school for free! All Periods: Finish reading "The Third Wish" on pages 70-76. You will be asked a question tomorrow about the story that will show if you read it. Correct answers will result in receiving your homework points for the day. Periods 3/4 and 8/9 ONLY: Create one sentence for each of the first ten words in your Vocabulary Workshop workbook in Unit Two. These should be done on a separate piece of paper. Make sure to capitalize the first letter of every sentence and to end them with the appropriate end marks. REMINDER: READING LOG NUMBER 3 IS DUE TOMORROW! Your log MUST be signed by a parent and include a one sentence summary about what you read each day.
